From the 18th to the 19th of June a team of 7 students represented Craighead at the 2022 South Island Secondary Schools Swimming Championships in Dunedin. This was the largest team we have had so far, consisting of: Briar Annett, Victoria Kyle, Hyunji Kim, Marieke Black, Olivia Walsh, Dimana Naydenova, and Amalia Cabrera-Martin. The girls had lots of success with most of the team securing multiple top 10 placings and personal best times. The highlight of the competition, was the relay team of Briar Annett, Victoria Kyle, Dimana Naydenova and, Amalia Cabrera-Martin who placed third in the 16yrs and over 4 x 50m freestyle relay, beating the fourth place swimmers by 0.02 milliseconds!

A smaller team of three of these girls will be representing Craighead at the New Zealand Secondary School Swimming championships in Hamilton this term.
