Craighead Uniform Update
We have had supply issues due to a variety of factors and for this we unreservedly apologise. We would like to thank you for your patience so far but we need to impose on that further as we await our shipments of long-sleeved shirts in particular, but also the Year 7 tunic. Please make sure you check your email if you are parents new to the school this year, or you are waiting for items of winter uniform.
Additional information concerning uniform can also be found below:
Year 7 Parents:
Those Y7 parents who have paid for Tudor kilts: these will be bagged up this week, together with ordered socks and delivered to your daughter’s classroom. Those that have ordered Gannaway kilts – there will be a wait for these as Covid has affected the production of these in Scotland. We are expecting them in shortly and hope to have them to you just after Queen’s Birthday Weekend. Therefore, these students will wear the following until the long-sleeved shirts are available:
Kilt, summer shirt, jersey, navy knee high socks or navy tights, blazer, brown shoes.
For those Year 7 parents who have ordered tunics: we have just fitted your daughter for her tunic, and these will be with us hopefully by the end of this term or early next term. In the meantime, your daughter can wear her summer skirt in place of the tunic. Until the long-sleeved shirts arrive, your daughter’s uniform will be:
Summer skirt, summer shirt, jersey, navy knee high socks or navy tights, blazer and brown shoes.
New students / parents at other Year levels:
Kilts: Those parents who have paid for Tudor kilts, these will be bagged up this week and delivered to your daughter’s classroom. Those that have ordered Gannaway kilts there will be a wait for these as Covid has affected the production of these in Scotland. We are expecting them in shortly and hope to have them to you just after Queen’s Birthday Weekend. Until your daughters kilt arrives she is to continue to wear her summer skirt with navy knee high socks or navy tights (available at the Uniform Shop).
Shirts: These will be in later in the term as stated above. Until they arrive your daughter can continue to wear her white summer shirts under a jersey, if you do not have a jersey for your daughter please contact Tracy on firstname.lastname@example.org to ascertain what the options are around this.
Therefore, Y8 – 13 students new to school waiting for uniform items can wear the following:
Kilt – if you have one, otherwise wear your Summer Skirt
Summer shirts (if you do not have the existing cream shirt and are waiting for the white long sleeved shirt)
Navy knee high socks or navy tights
We recognise that it is especially messy this year with regards to uniform supply, due to circumstances outside of our control. We apologise unreservedly for this and we want to make the process going forward as easy and accessible for parents and students as possible.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
