I feel very privileged being selected as the 2024 Deputy Sports Captain and honored to be working alongside Rennette Van Heerden, who also shares a strong passion for sport. Together we plan to encourage and support everyone to get more involved within the Craighead Sporting community.
Being involved in numerous sports myself, whether it is through coaching, umpiring or supporting has taught me the importance of leadership, communication skills, and resilience. From a young age I've participated in a wide range of sports which continued when I came to Craighead and during my years here I have been involved in rugby, hockey, touch, with athletics being my main focus.
Furthering my skills and knowledge has led me to be selected to represent South Canterbury in both Hockey and Rugby, giving me the opportunity to meet amazing people.
As we contiune 2024 my aspiration for this final year is to create an environment where everyone feels supported and has the confidence to get involved in more sport.
