Year 10 French students had a fabulous day exploring Akaroa on Friday. Despite the chilly weather, the students enjoyed a walking tour to learn about the French settlement of the township in the 1840s, and were even able to use their French skills to order a croissant or a baguette from "la boulangerie," A la Baguette!
The baker there showed us how he makes "pain au chocolat" and it was superb to be able to experience a true little taste of France.
A huge thank you to the girls, and our kind driver, Mick Geary for making the day one to remember.
