I have been lucky enough to be selected as Deputy Head Boarder at Craighead for 2024, leading alongside one of my long-time friends Olive Roxburgh. I came to Craighead and into the boarding house in 2020 for Year 9. Now in my 5th and final year, I wish to work with Olive and my boarding house committee to develop the boarding house’s sense of inclusivity and community. During my free time, I am involved in Highland Dancing and am on track to receive my diploma in Highland & National Dance by the end of this year.

Over my time at Craighead, I have played basketball, netball, touch, and badminton. I am also a keen academic, my best subjects are biology, chemistry, and geography.

I am privileged to be attending BLAKE Inspire in October of this year, an environment-based leadership programme which will take place in Auckland. My passion for science and the environment is leading me to study a Bachelor of Science in the future, majoring in something related to the environment and ecology. I am very grateful for my time in the boarding house. It has largely increased my independence and confidence. I enjoy being away from home, so I am inclined to pursue my studies at either the University of Auckland, Massey, or Victoria.
