On Friday the 16th of February, Craighead had its annual swimming sports at the Caroline Bay Trust Aoraki Centre. It was an amazing day with lots of sunshine, smiles and lots of swimming!
There was outstanding participation in the non-championship events and there were two records broken in the championship events (details to follow at a later date).
Take a look at a sneak peek of the results below. The full results will be published after the Swimming Sports Assembly on the 6 March.
Non-Championship Standings:
- Te Rawhiti 514
- Te Raki 441
- Te Uru 407
- Te Tonga 304
There was also a new event introduced by the Year 13 Leaders, the “Manu Competition”. This took place over lunchtime and saw competitors from each Manaaki go head to head to see who could create the perfect splash. Alli Keane took this out, from Te Uru, with an amazing attempt. This event, coupled with the lunchtime Jump Jam session, created an amazing environment over lunchtime for the students.
Keep an eye out over the following weeks for the full results, including the Age Group Champions and the overall Maānaki champions.
We look forward to another amazing Swimming Sports next year!
