The Aoraki Schools Transportation Network has responsibility and oversight of running the rural bus routes for South Canterbury. These buses operate to and from the designated bus stops on both sides of Craighead Street.

It is essential that from the first day when bus services commence, that we have an accurate and up-to-date list of the students travelling on each service. This is a Health and Safety requirement in case of any emergency such as closed roads or accidents. If there have been any changes to contact details, please contact the School Office to confirm.

Also a reminder that caregivers are responsible for getting their children to school, which may involve getting the children to and from their nearest bus pick-up and drop-off location. Please either stay with your children while they are waiting for their school transport in the morning, or keep in contact with them to make sure that they are picked up safely. It is recommended students and caregivers be at the bus pick-up/drop-off locations five to 10 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive.

Also a reminder that using vapes or smoking on school buses is strictly forbidden. Students who vape or smoke on a school bus may be stood down either temporarily or permanently from the bus service.
