The school acknowledges the passing of Patricia "Patsy" McKenzie (nee Raymond) last Sunday 21 January.
Patsy was a pupil from 1941 to 1951 and was the Patron of the Craighead Old Girls Association at the time of her death. Patsy was an advocate for Craighead her whole life, always singing its praises. Her daughters Jane and Fiona, along with her grand-daughters all attended Craighead. Patsy served as the President of the Old Girls Association during the 1970s and served on the Board of Governors in the early 1980s during the discussions regarding the integration of the school with the state system. Patsy was the author of several publications including the 75th jubilee history of Craighead and was the co-author of the "Greengages" the Centennial History in 2011. The title of that book came from Patsy's reminiscences of the nickname given to Craighead students of the 1940s in their green uniform. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.
