Mask wearing: have the requirements changed from last term for Alert Level 2?

We have been advised that when adults are conducting student pick-ups and drop-offs, these should occur in an outdoor environment where face coverings must be worn, and physical distancing measures retained. This does pertain to the school site and to Alert Level 2. I appreciate that this is a change to previous information regarding face masks/coverings by adults for the purposes of picking up and dropping off students on school sites in Alert Level 2.

Face coverings on school transport- has there been a change for us in Alert Level 2?

Students of all ages are encouraged to wear a face covering on all school transport services under all alert levels. Face coverings are required to be worn by students aged 12 and over while on school transport (both Ministry and regional council-operated services) under all alert levels. It also includes charter buses hired by schools to transport students and staff. Students aged 12 and over are also required to wear face coverings on public transport.

While the school transport drivers are not required to enforce the wearing of face coverings, they will report any non-compliance to the school and this will be treated as defiance.

We welcome and appreciate any and all support that our community can give to Craighead as without it we would be unable to provide the wonderful opportunities to our students. Please note that from 1 January 2022 any adult that wishes to be involved with our sports, cultural or any other groups or support functions at the school must provide evidence of being fully vaccinated. This can be done by simply taking a photo or scanning the purple card that you receive post vaccination and emailing this through to .

If your daughter has also received their full vaccination, please also scan or take a photo of the purple card and send it through to or .
